Marilyn Weidenaar

I'm a landscape artist and for the past several years, I have been working on a series of paintings of all the state parks in Georgia.  The uniqueness of the various geographic locations, from mountains to ocean, swamps and lakes, as well as the variety of flora and fauna is what I try to capture and convey.  It is my wish that some of the joy of this journey through Georgia comes through in my work.

After recieving a Bachelor of Studio Arts degree from Rosemont College, I continued a classical training in painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia.  I have taught art to all ages, from homeschoolers to college students, as well as adults.  I've done commissioned portraits, and sold my work in galleries and to private collectors.

Although acrylics and oils are my main mediums, I also enjoy pastels and watercolors.  I have a series of work on fabric and I also paint abstractly to exercise my design and intuitive skills.
